There are strict rules of proper conduct on Noo'Rahd. No clan-member can have intimate relations with any other clan, nor show in colors belonging to another clan.
Example; Should a Shadow-Dancer have any sexual relation with a Sun-Walker, the person in question will be sterilized and banned, along with the companion, from the two clans respective areas. Left alone to the wilderness, or if lucky another clan may see pity on the pair and shelter them.
Example; Should a Moon-Dreamer intentionally color his/her fur to resemble a Star-Gazer, that person might get another chance or be deported to the other clan's area, depending on the person's Curriculum Vitae. In worse cases the person will be stripped of fur in painful methods, or executed.
It is shameful to live among people of another clan.
Only option one might have if one is to be banished, executed or stripped of honor is to win in a pit-fight, known as a “Ritual of bloodright”. Where the leaders of the area chooses one of their trained bodyguards to be the opposition.
The Brotherhood of Aurora is an assembly of "sinners". Though few, they stay close. Warding each other and aiding those who need it, even if those who need help aren’t one of them.
Some "Auroras" are researching how to reverse sterilization.
