Idea 1- Guy finds portal to furry world, changes into furry when he goes through, changes back when he returns. Furries also change on returning Ma'haad was laying on the grass, gazing at the clouds as they rolled by. Enjoying the sun on his fur. The wind blew, rustling the green carpet that he reclined on. "It's so peaceful up here by the temple," He thought. Ma'haad was a 16 year old fox morph with red fur. He came up to the temple often, to sit and relax. "What will today bring?" he wondered out loud. Ma'haad checked his watch. "Shit! i'm late for work!" He jumped up and ran down the hill, into his town. Ma'haad ran down the street, towards the town's convenince store. He had a job as the clerk. He burst through the shops doors. "You're late," said the woman behind the register. If you're here late again, it will be your job." "Sorry Mrs. Vait." "Don't be sorry, just don't be late again!" She walked out from behind the counter and walked into the back room. Ma'haad mentally kicked himself for loosing track of time for the third time. The door swung open and a tall bear morph walked up to the register. "Hi, what can I do for you?" "Do you have any lightbulbs here?" "Yes, they're in isle seven" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP" "Stupid alarm clock, you WILL pay." Toshi slammed his fist on the snooze button, stopping the sonic assault. He slowly got out of bed, stretching. Toshi staggered into his bathroom and turned on the shower. He stripped and stepped into the spray of water. It had felt like the running water had revitalized him. "Today's gonna be great," Toshi thought. Having washed himself, he cranked off the water and slid out of the stall. He grabbed a towel and dried himself. Toshi opened his closet door and found some boxers, socks,a t-shirt and a pair of pants. As he dressed he thought about the day ahead. His archeologist professor had invited him to a dig near the old temple that stood on top of the bluff that overlooked their town. It was his first dig, so natrually, he was estatic. Toshi thumped down the stairs, almost running into his kid sister as he flew into the kitchen. "Watch it!" She said. "Sorry Raine," he said hurriedly. He opened a box of cerial and grabbed a blue bowl from the cuboard. "You're excited," Raine noted. "Hmmm... I wonder why," Toshi said scharcasticly, pouring the cerial. He started to mow down his breakfast. At that point, his mother wondered in. She looked over to where Toshi was eating. "You're making a mess," she complained. "Sorry mom," he replied automaticly. His mother sighed and sat down next to him. "You seem excited," His mom commented. "Yea!" Toshi said enthusiasticly. After watching him for a while, his mother got up and truged over to the coffe maker. "I suppose you'll want to borrow the car keys," She guessed. "Yep." "Did you know that a reporter is going to interview you guys?" "You're kidding, right?" "Nope." "COOL!" Toshi finished his cerial and threw the bowl in the dishwasher. "Bye mom!" Before she could reply, he had snached the keys off the hook and was out the door. "I can't wait!" He thought as he unlocked their red celica. Hopping in, he jammed the keys in the ignition and started the car. He drove a little ways out of his neigbourhood and stopped in front of a two story house. "I told him to be ready at eight..." The front door of the house swung open and out came his best friend, Nate. He jogged up to the passenger door and hopped in. "Hey Toshi," Nate said joiviantly "You ready?" Toshi asked. "Been ready for a while now, let's get going." "Okay then." Toshi turned the car around and drove down the steet. "This is gonig to be awsome," Nate said dreamily "Yeah, i know," Toshi said sounding the same as Nate. They drove the hill. There was a vistior parking lot at the bottom. Toshi pulled up to the gaurd house and rolled down the window. "Hi, we're with the arceological group," Toshi told the woman in the booth. "Ok, just put this in your window." She handed him a peice of paper, which he promtly put on the dashboard. "Thanks," Toshi said as he rolled up the window. They pulled into a parking spot by the path that led up the hill. They wondered about what they would find as they walked up the trail. A short ways away, they saw the professor a couple of yards off of the trail. "Hey Dr. Steven," Toshi called out. "Hi, guys. I've got some stuff that I need to unload out of the van." He gestured at a van that he had driven up the hill. "Sure, no problem," Nate said. They unpacked tarps, seives, trowels, buckets, water sprayers, notebooks, bottled water and other things that they would be using. As Toshi shut the door on the van Dr. Stevonson said, "I invited another of my students to help us here, she'll be here later" "That's fine" Nate replied. "Alright then, lets get the grid set up." They found a boulder to use as a marker, so that if anyone else came to dig this site later, they would know where they had dug. From there, the set up a grid of one meter sqares over the area that the were going to escavate with string. When they were done, Toshi started to scrape off the topsoil in the sections that they planned to dig that day. This job sucks!" Toshi compained. "Well, someone has to do it," Dr. Steven said wisely. "Why do I have to do it?" "Because I'm mapping the site out and Nate's stting up the equipment. So stop crabbin' and get back to scraping!" Toshi grumbled and stuck his shovel under the half removed section of sod that he was working on. Meanwhile, Nate was spreadind out a tarp a short distance away from the site. He tacked it down with a a few stakes in the corners. Next he graabed some poles from the pile of eqipment and pounded them into the ground in a perimeter aroud their site. When all of the poles were up, he strung rope around them, making an effective gaurd rail. "Ahh, here she comes," Dr. Steven said. Toshi and Nate looked up. She was walking up the trail. "Hi Dr. Steven," She yelled. "How are you doing, Lyra?" "Just fine." Lyra had reached the rope. "Lyra, I would like you to meet Toshi and Nate. Toshi and Nate, this is Lyra." "Hi," Nate and Toshi said at the same time. "Well, Dr. Steven, what should I do?" "Help Toshi with the grass," Dr. Steven said as he handed her a shovel. "Ughh, that sounds so boring. When do we get to do the real digging?" "When we're done with the topsoil." She stepped over the rope and started on the section next to Toshi. "So, where are you from?" Lyra asked. "I moved here from California a couple of years ago." "Really? Wow. I don't know anyone else from California." "Well, not many californians would want to move here." "I'm not surprized, it gets much colder here in the winter." Toshi struggled with a rather tough spot of topsoil. -CLING- "What was that?" Lyra said excitedly. "It sounded like metal." "Dr. Steven, I think i found something!" "I doubt you found anything this far up in the ground that would be anything important, but we'll see" Dr. Steven replied. Nate and Dr. Steven jogged over to the square. -ZING- "Oof-" Nate had tripped on one of the lines. Toshi doubled over with laughter. Nate pulled his face from the ground. "You should really look out for those," Dr. Steven warned, chuckling. "Ok, let's start excavating what you found." Dr. Steven grabbed some trowels out of a bucket. "What kind of edge do you think you want?" "I'll have a flat edge," Toshi said. "Alright then, here's what you need to do." Dr. Steven took a trowel from the bucket and slowly began scraping at the compacted ground. "The trick is to be as slow and careful as possible, taking care not to ruin any artifacts." Toshi joined in, with Nate and Lyra looking over his shoulder. They slowly scraped layer by layer of dirt from around the small protusion of metal. As more of it was exsposed, they found that it was a round metal disk about 5 inches in diameter. "Before you pull it out, let me get a picture of it in the ground." requsted Dr. Steven. He ran quickly over to the pile of eqipment. He looked in several buckets and in his van before announcing, "Damn, I forgot my camera." He looked at his watch. "Why dont you eat lunch while I'm getting it?" "Ok,sure." Nate said "Where's the food?" "Here." Dr. Steven threw a paper bag out of his van. "I'll be back by 12:30, Alright?" "See you later," Toshi said. Lyra brought the paper bag by where they were working. "Lunch is served," she joked. Inside they found the makings of sandwiches. They spent a small amount of time making their lunch. As they sat eating Toshi said, "I wonder what that disk thing is." "I don't know" Nate said. "Maybe it's some kind of plate," Lyra suggested. "No, that metal is too valuable for it to be a plate," a dubious Toshi replied. Maybe it's some kind of relic. "Maybe its a frisbee!" Nate joked. "Yeah, I can hear it now, team of novice arceologists finds world's first frisbee. Yeah right." Toshi finished his sandwitch and looked at the disk. "Hey it looks like they're some markings on it." Nate and Lyra looked over his shoulder. Toshi scaped some of the dirt off of the disk. The disk began to glow. "Holy shit!" All the dirt on the disk began to fall off, showing the design. Quite suddenly, the disk began to get brighter. It reached a point where it was completely white. "T..T.That's impossible..." Nate stammered. Toshi slowly reached out his hand to touch it. Nate and Lyra both tried to pull him back at the same time as Toshi touched the disk. The world around them seemed to melt. Toshi suddenly found he couldn't breathe. "What the hell is going on," his mind screamed. Toshi passed out.
