Rex is the genius teenager, though he would rather be average. He skipped a grade or two back in elementary school and is now graduating early with Jay and James' class. Underneath the black clothes and the goth-punk look he is sensitive and is secretly anorexic. He is very talented in art and Seraphox believes that his work can easily surpass his own. Rex is closest to Rei's height and jokes about being in the 'midget' category. Unlike Rei, he doesn't mind at all being short. Rex comes from a bad home, the place is run down and the other family members are rude drunks and drug addicts. He amazingly managed to be the only one to come out clean.
