~Darkness of Night~

Oh, darkness of night,
 swallow me whole.
Give me a taste of bitter-sweet death,
lay me to rest in the shadows of time,
where a minute is an hour,
where an hour is a jumbled rhyme.

Oh, darkness of night,

Take nothing from me,
but worry and soul.

The kind are the wicked,
the wicked are the poor.
Where all the rivers leaf to one black door.
