The heavily pregnant skunk lady slowly sat down upon the chair. Maryssa waited for the nurse to arrive. It'd likely be the last examination before the baby was born, she knew. A little sister for Sslaxx and Fiona. Slaxx'd had to attend a meeting at the reserve today - more beaurucracy that he'd rather not deal with right now, she knew; he'd be with her, otherwise.

"Hello, Maryssa.", the nurse, a middle-aged lady Martian called Seena, said in greetings. Seena was a pleasant, nearly always smiling lady, who'd been Maryssa's mid-wife with both Sslaxx and Fiona. She trusted her, implicitly. Seena had been pregnant around the time she'd been expecting Sslaxx.

Maryssa smiled back. "Hello!", she replied. "Nice to see you again, Seena. How're you?"
