Oh dear, don't know how the hell this happened. I finally found my Windows 98 CD so I could successfully install the scanner. So I get that done, and I get a scan or two in and on my third one, my shoulder bumps againist a dead hard drive, I was using as a doorstop, it was one of those old, large, heavy, 50 meg drives, well I bumped against as I bent down to slide another drawing into the scanner. The drive fell off my desk and right on top of the scanner. Whatever covers that flatbed scanner has shattered in the lower left hand corner of it and there are two cracks that run up to the upper right hand corner, where it scans the drawings. So I'm going to have to scrounge up some money and purchase one of those cheap $50 USB scanners in the meantime. Just in case someone was wondering, it was a Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 4C Flatbed Color Scanner.
