I am now officially accepting commissions! While I've taken several before, I never felt to the point to be advertising the offer, but now I am. To request a commission, email me at phoenix@darkscale.com with any details, and we can start working out just what you want. Conditions: CHARACTERS: All characters must be either your own characters, or I need permission from their owner. Basicaly, I don't want to be a jerk by making a picture of someone else that they don't want made. SUBJECT MATTER: Anything goes. Really. Considering the stuff I -have- drawn, don't worry about 'squicking' me with some strange scenario or kink. The one exception is "cub" art, if for no other reason than the shaky legal possition. While I am now drawing in a line-less style for colored art, I can do lined are just as easily; let me know if you'd prefer this. PRICING: This is hard to put an exact number on. Eventually I settled on figuring out just how long it takes to complete a piece, and work it out at a reasonable hourly rate (Unfortunately, it seems "reasonable hourly rate" is less than minimum wage). Here's the basics: Black-and White, pencil-shaded: $20 Digital colored: $40 This is for a basic scene, with one or two characters. Full surroundings and/or background adds another $10. Extra-complex scenes, complex characters, more characters, etc, may (Emphasis on may) increase cost, depending on the details. Subject matter may also affect the cost to some degree... Especially if the subject matter is something I really like :> These prices get you a viewing-sized JPG or GIF (In the neighborhood of 1024x768), and if desired, a high-res PSD, BMP, or other loss-less format (300dpi, in the neighborhood of 3500x2500). If you want the original lineart as well, then we'll add in shipping & handling. PAYMENT: I will take checks, money order, and paypal. Once I agree to a commission, I'll quote a price; once the the payment arrives and clears, the commission is made and I will begin working on it (Okay, actually, I'll probably start even before then, but it's not final and accepted until that point). If you want to pay by check or money order, I will send you an address for it; if you want to pay by paypal, I'll send a payment request to your email (Makes things simpler) COPYRIGHT AND SUCH: All characters remain the property of their original owners, naturally enough. The buyer can do whatever he wants with the image, post it wherever, share it, whatever, except for claiming that the picture is made by himself or someone other than me, or modifying the picture to do the same. I, of course, retain the right to post a copy of any and all commissions, unless agreed upon explicitly prior to accepting the commission. TIME: In general, I try to complete commissions as quickly as possible. Naturally, the speed at which I can finish a piece depends heavily upon factors such as my job, personal plans, and even how much I like the project. However, I love drawing, and any excuse to draw more is always welcome, so I am usually quite punctual (Personal best: ~72 hours from initial contact). OTHER STUFF: Um... Growf. Okay, I think I'm done.
