Shike finally arrived at Jiz's apartment. She rushed to his room, whatever troubled him, she was sure to help him however she could. As she entered, she saw him on the couch. He looked so depressed, she rarily saw Jiz sad, it was so strange, and sympathically painful. She sat on the couch with him, and snuggled up under his arm, listening to his story. He told her of his last vision, the hellish tortures The Evil had forced him to endure. Before she had arrived, he was seriously pondering whether he should even mention it. Perhaps he'd say he just wanted to see her. But she knew when something was really wrong, that couldn't work. He sighed and waited for her to answer. She looked into his eyes, with the look that Jiz had only saw once before. It almost made him shiver, it was such a powerful, peircing stare. "I won't do it... I can't, never.." Inwardly, she didn't feel the confidence she portrayed. She felt desperation, despair, all the feelings she had when speaking to Heth last time. This time, she knew what the outcome would be, she knew this would tear them apart. All the same, she passed her hand over his chest in a final act of pitiful hope. They'd loved eachother for years now, nothing short of heaven or hell was capable of harming their love. He stared back into her eyes, challenging them. "You have to, you have to and you know it. Say the name of The Evil." The feelings from the day before were still there, she'd only been denying them, holding them. She couldn't do that anymore though, her face changed slowly, from peircing unchallangable eyes, to weak and, and even helpless. It was happening, everything she tried to avoid was happening then.. He was asking her to become a part of what put him through hell. She buried her muzzle in his chest and began to sob softly. Soon, she stopped caring about the entities, or the apocalypse. She was crying in his arms because she knew it was the last time she could ever be so close to him. He cotinued to hold her there for minutes, minutes that felt like eaons. Finally he spoke; "I'm so sorry Shike.. Please.. Say the name.." It's as if her soul was cut. She pushed him violently, putting herself on her feet, almost stumbling backwards. Standing, quivering, staring at her confused lover, she sobbed softly "I.." He stood, he stepped forward. He wanted so much to tell her everything would be okay, but it couldn't be that way. He would just hold her again, it was all he could do.. Shike though, stepped backwards. She didn't understand what she was about to do, but she couldn't question it. She screamed, harshly, cruelly: "/I hate you/!" Her claws extended. To her, it was as if she was watching the events happen before her. Her hand lashed out, into the face of the one she loved as her soulmate just minutes before, cutting his cheek grotesquelly. She didn't want this, she didn't want to deal with it, she ran for the door of his apartment as he reeled from the slice. He let his body fall to the ground.. Not pursuing her, not even watching her leave. He felt the warm flow of blood on his cheek, but he didn't care. "The vision with The Evil was not as hellish as this," he thought, "I'd rather be killed a thousand times than lose her.." He sobbed softly to himself, there was nobody there to comfort him. He wimpered pitifully "Shike.. I love you.. Don't..." But he spoke to an empty room. He lied there for the better part of an hour, wondering if it could have been differently, if it was his fault, if he could make her love him again. No answers came to him though, only more questions. He would wait, he decided, and call her the next day, maybe she would listen, maybe she hated her situation.. and not him.. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The red cat make it only to the outside of the building, there she collapsed into a wall, letting her back scrape into the rough brick as she slid to sitting. Hugging her knees to her chest, she cried into her own arms. "Oh god.." which she repeated to herself, till it lost meaning.. "My life is over." Eventually though, she rose to her feet. After licking her hands, she wiped her cheeks with them to help cleanse them of her tears. It was a half hours drive from her place to his, it was going to be a long walk. Along the barren road she thought of the events that had happened. She felt a loneliness she didn't think possible. Everything was against her, even her only god. What chance did she have against that? She wanted it to end, but there were only two ways that could happen now, and neither were acceptable to her. There was nobody to ask, nobody to find comfort in. To her, her life truly was over. During the rosey twilight that night, as she was still walking, she spotted a pair of robins. She sighed, thinking of how every time she saw them, they meant something new to her. They used to be hope, but now there was not hope. It was as if The One was telling her "This is the way it cannot be." She watched as they flew a hypnotic pattern, spinning round eachother, through the branches of high hung trees. Finally coming to rest in a nest as she passed them. A small rock layed innocently on the ground before her, so she took it from the concrete and lifted it past her head. She took aim at the nest to throw, as if she was aiming at her god, whome she couldn't help but hate also. Her arm went limp though, she couldn't do it. 'Pointless' she thought. Continuing on, she listened to the rock hit the ground as she dropped it. It was turning dark, and there was still a mile to walk.. A painful mile, alone with her thoughts again. If only her questions would be answered, especially.. Why was it was her that was chosen. If she had to have her first vision again, that would be the question she'd ask. But that's just meaningless fantasy. She walked on and on, all the while with her face of forced indiference, while her mind was cycling the same thoughts and questions, never coming to a conclusion. As she reached her apartment, the final dimmest of stars finally began to shine. It was a beautiful night, but went unnoticed by Shike, still lost in her lamentations. She cried herself to sleep that night, and her sleep so difficultly obtained was a troubled one. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * She awoke dreaming of her X-lover. A wonderful, utopian dream, just after she finally calmed down in her slumber, ultimatly shattered by a peircing reality of her unfeeling alarm. She arose from her just obtained well rest, groaning as she the events of the previous night returned to her mind. It wasn't that she still loved him, she was completely sincere in her proclomation of hate. All the same, she had lost something that she loved, but then, perhaps she was "In love with love." She forced herself through her morning routine. She debated whether to even attend school that day, but it was best to her to try and live her life normally. Normal might not be the right word, but she'd try her best to make it that way. The forced look of neutrality was so much harder to keep now. It had never been tried to severly. She decided she'd walk to school, she didn't want to see happy and free faces around her, as on a bus, and she especially didn't want to be driven with the one she recently began to hate so. She didn't know how she'd deal with it for the actual classes, but unfortunatly for her, her classes were something she'd never see again. As she approached her school, she found herself to be late. She decided she'd get up early to make it to her school on time from then on. At least for the next few days that she wanted to herself, as much as could be helped. She scanned the area as she walked down the final path to her school. It was made from the simple act of students walking on it more than anywhere else on the school lawn. There was nobody to be seen. Of course there was nobody, it was a home room period, all were in class. No, there was one other, advancing to her from a distance. Shike squinted to make out the figure. Blue.. Canine.. "Oh god no, this is the last thing I need." She waited, she'd humor Lara on whatever she had to say. It was a full minute before the icy dog made it to her with her slow, conceited gait. "Clothes too good for you?" Shike remarked, for Lara was naked, as usual. Lara laughed a short, spiteful sound. She continued approaching, till she was almost hugging Shike, and leaned forward to whisper in her ear. "I've learned something very interesting about you.." It disgusted Shike to have a nude female so close to her, she pushed Lara harshly. "I'm late." Came the same spiteful sound as before. Lara continued to smile all the while. She brought her hand to her chest, and stroked her nipple just a bit. It was something Shike didn't want to see, and so she continued by, leaving her back rudely to Lara with a momentary shudder. Lara saw Shike turn away, saw her unguarded back. She barked loudly, and pounced on Shike, bringing her to the ground and pinning her with the strength inhereted from her species. She bent low to whisper into the cats ear again. "I'm going to have some fun with you now.." Shike gasped. This was unreal to her. She struggled the best she could, spitting dirt from her mouth. Lara was simply too strong for her to fight. "No.. You can't be serious, you're not going to.. Oh shit.." She shrieked in desperation, but if anybody was there to hear her, they'd shy away at the presence of Lara. Shike was helpless, and she felt it.. "Help! Fuck, somebody help me!" Lara growled softly and wrapped a hand around Shikes muzzle, clamping it closed. Taking a second to regain her vainglory, she continued. "Rape you? Of course not! You know I don't take felines as mates. But from now on, you're going to be my little slave kitty, Sharanahiteyep. You're evil god came to me and told me your name, though I can't imagine why!" And she rose to allow Shike to her feet. "How strange.." were Shikes last thoughts then. She stopped caring.. Jiz, her lost love, her very life, nothing mattered to her anymore. Whether it was because she was told that was what was to happen if another found her name, or if Lara truly gained possesion of Shikes very sole didn't matter. The red feline was now owned by the blue canine, and the red one didn't mind anymore. Lara laughed. She had so much she wanted to do with her new toy. She believed in not mating with other species', but Shike was different now.. Now, she doesn't count. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
