It was the week of exams at Sherwood High School. Matt and Jess had studied their brains off for their academic classes. The both of them had just come from their last exam and they walked towards Matt's neon yellow corvette. They got in and Matt started the car to drive to their home. "So, honey, what exams did you have to take?" Matt asked, turning left onto the main road.

"Well, I had to take a crummy chemistry exam with Mr. Flemings. A 125 question exam... It was hell. Thank God you helped me study, or else I never would have passed. You're the lucky one. All you had to take was Gym and English." Jess said.

"Yeah, well, that Gym exam wasn't exactly easy. You should have seen the damn obstacle course. Ten hurdles, ropes, army crawling, tackling dummies... God, you're just lucky you didn't have to go through it." Matt said.

"Hey, I did have to go through it! Last year. And I didn't exactly get the best time either." Jess said, remembering back to that day. Matt pulled up to their apartment. Jess was still in a trance, all the way back to her Gym exam a year ago. "Jess, hey honey, are you awake?" He said, snapping his fingers in front of her face.

"Jess, I know, you've told me that story hundreds of times." he said. He got out of the car and opened her door for her.

He retrieved their mail from their box and unlocked the front door. Jess walked in and switched on the light. Matt placed the mail on the table and sat down on the couch. "Well, the good thing about exam week is that I get work off to study, and when I'm done studying, I have the rest of the day free." Matt said. He slipped one of his arms around her back and held on to her.
