Matt was at home watching TV when the phone rang. "Hello?" he asked.

"Huh?" Matt said. He was a bit confused.

"How do I smell?" Jess asked again. Matt took her paw and sniffed her.

"You smell kind of different." he said.

"That's right Matt. Do you know why?" Jess asked. She scratched his chin.

"No, Jess, I don't." he said. Jess thought he would catch on quickly. He obviously didn't.

"I'm about to go in my first heat Matt. I need someone to mate with." Jess said. She took his tail in her paws and began to stroke it.

"Jess. I don't know what to say. I mean, this is all making me a little uncomfortable. I'm not so sure I want to do this." he said. Matt began to sweat. Jess saw this, so she nudged him.

"I mean, what if our parents find out? We're both only 16. If we have sex and have a pup-"

"Kit." Jess interrupted.

"Kit. Sorry. But anyway, if we have a kit now, he'll be able to see his great grandparents." Matt explained.

"Nothing. But I'm just afraid that our parents will find out."

"No they won't. As long as you use a condom and I take one of the pills I've been saving, we'll be fine." she said, soothing him with her paws.

"If you put it that way, I guess it's alright. When do you want to do this?" Matt asked. He scratched at his arm.

"Right now if you want. Our parents are out at target practice flying the new arwings, remember? And you know how long it takes for them to get to the base? It takes about 45 minutes. Besides, my parents always call before they leave. So we'll have plenty of advanced warning. Can we do it? Please?" she begged.

"Okay Jess, we can do it." he said. Matt licked Jess on her warm muzzle.

"Jess, let me and your father think about it." Fara said. Jess gave her a hug and kissed Fox. She left to go into her room and lay on her bed. Jess put her ear to the wall and tried to listen in.

"Fara, do you really think we should let Jess throw her bachelor life away?" Fox asked. Fara looked up at him.

"Well, Fox, we never had a bachelor life at all. How can we expect her to have one?" She asked.

"I still don't think it's a good idea. What if Katt and Bill say no?"

"I don't know. I don't think they'll say no. I know them."

"Well, I know them too. I guess we should let them get married. As long as they both finish school first."

"It's okay Fox, as long as they finish school." Fara said. No sooner than she finished her sentence, there was a knock on their door. "Yes?"

Jessica came in. "Hi Mom. I heard everything. I'll tell Matt. Oh, and don't worry. I intend to finish school first." she said. Jess gave Fox a hug and kissed Fara. She left the room. Jess was very excited. She ran downstairs to Matt's house, but stopped when she got halfway down the stairs, remembering what time it was. She'd look pretty silly at Matt's front door at 9:00 AM in her nightshirt and underwear.

It was soon midday. Jess was over at Matt's house and knocked on the front door. Matt answered. "Well, what did they say?" Jess asked. He led her to the family's white love seat on the front porch.

"Well, they said no at first. But then they said yes as long as I finish high school first." Matt said.

"That's great. Only three more years." Jess said.

"Three?" Matt asked, puzzled.

"Yeah. Three for you. I'm in eleventh grade. You're in tenth. Remember?"

"Do you, Matt Grey, take Jessica McCloud to be your lawfully wedded wife?" General Pepper asked.

"I do." Matt said.

"And do you, Jessica McCloud, take Matt Grey to be your lawfully wedded husband?" the General asked again.

"I do." Jessica said.

"Then I now pronounce you husband and wife." Pepper said. Matt wrapped his arms around Jess and kissed her passionately. Jessica took the bouquet and threw it behind her. Her best friend Tracy Lipps, a lioness, caught it. Jess turned around and gave Tracy one of her 'I feel sorry for you' looks.

"Mmmmm. This is good. Where'd you get it from?" Jess asked.

"My dad had it imported from New Zoness, after all the toxic waste from the war was cleaned up. I've been talking about this day for about three years." he said. After awhile, they had drank half the bottle.
